David, interviewed here by Jackie Fullerton, was overwhelmed by the response to the competition:
“I had no idea that so many children and young people had entered the competition and I am delighted to see so many portraits.
It has been very interesting to see how the children view me, we had quite a lot of action portraits and the standard has been outstanding.”
Centre Manager, Karen Marshall said, “We were amazed at the crowds who came to the Centre to see David and to join in the final judging of our art competition. It was a fantastic day and we were happy that so many people got to see David. The Flagship also looked fantastic as we had all the portraits displayed throughout the Centre and the children really enjoyed looking for their own portraits.”
